The Athletic Association of the college had its inception in 1983 as a statutory unit with the sole objective of catering to the needs of the students of our institution in the field of sports and games. Over the years, the Association headed by the Principal along with some senior teachers as Vice-Presidents and the Physical Education Teacher has been relentlessly working tooth and nails to promote sportsmanship among the students and endeavoring both vertical and horizontal development of sports in the college and participation of sport persons at state, national and international levels.

Activities

The Annual Sports event of the college is celebrated every year during the month of December/January. The physical education teachers of the local schools and nearby colleges along with the well wishers are invited to sports function for extending help and active participation.

Since our college playground is a coveted one for its huge size and greenery, the Utkal University and the State sports authorities are pleased to allot various tournaments and athletic meets to be organized in our college field. We have been hosting inter-college football and cricket tournaments for a number of years. Besides, various athletic meets and tournaments concerning different corporate bodies and locality are organized regularly in our playground.

Recently, the chairman of Odisha Cricket Association has given a verbal nod to take up developmental works and make this playground fit for Ranji Cricket Trophy matches.
