YRC

The college is having a Youth Red Cross Unit under the Indian Red Cross Unit, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The aims and objectives of this unit are to provide health service to the sick and the people with suffering, and to promote international friendliness. Membership of Youth Red Cross is open to boys and girls of all classes who desire to participate in its various activities. The present strength of the unit is forty.

Activities:

• The volunteers are enrolled in the month of July every year. Soon after the enrollment, the YRC Working Committee of the college is constituted with Principal as the Chairperson along with Youth Red Cross counselors and two students.

• The Unit looks after the First Aid healthcare services provided to the students and the staff. This year, the proposal has been mooted to organize a Blood Donation Camp in the college campus in collaboration with Blood Bank and State Red Cross Unit. Health camps, plantation programme, campus cleaning are some of the activities undertaken by the Unit.
